Its more of an art that works itself in a way we cannot comprehend. We search, we find and we long to be with a soul mate. Im an old school romantic, searching for the old fashion love, the core reason why two become united as their destinies entwine. . I can write a book about it but that's another chapter. Being loved and loving is indeed a rare sight, and I know many deserve it and still searching.. Well I hope they do, just like my buddy Calvin and Jasmine. This has got to be one of "those" things I need to do. Okay I shall put it on my new year's resolution.

Funny how it is during this time of the year, we seem to feel that the year has gone fast (regardless if has or not). But one thing is for sure that next year it will be different for me. Many changes will occur and I hope prosperity and better things will come. Keep em' blessings come..

I've always wanted to do more things, I guess I will now being that one of my resolution is to have more "me" time. Since January 27.. a whole years worth of blogging has been left behind. Thats way too much to catch up to anyone reading. Next year however is a different story.. ;)

Now to the resolutions that I can think of..

1) Be more proactive and do sports/outdoor activities.. since I have the car and fishing licence to have an excuse to go and enjoy the outdoors.. Need to keep fit as well

2) Use what I have got.. ie photography, fishing gear, out door equipment, my blog etc..

3) Move on to better things in life, Dont want to be "stagnant"

4) Enjoy better food (dining, cooking...)

5) Make more friends

6) Use my Rangie the way they were built for (still havent got a name for it..)

7) Need to get back in shape... ;) loose a couple of KG's and get fitter..

8) Self improvement in general.. presentation, character and personality etc.. Make more friends and widen my network (workwise and social)

9) Make these resolutions come true.. :D

10) Start a business??... and meed Richard Branson

There you go, 10 resolutions for 2010..

What did I think of 2009? Great.. could have been better but no regrets!~

For you reading this my friends, Have a wonderful 2010!~ Im sure it will be ;) Be naughty, we live once..

Signing off for 2009,
Ronald Adrian

Red Packet Syndrome!~

Its been a while.. First off, Happy New year to all and may 09' bring more than what 08' had :D

Now.. let me elaborate on the Red Packet Syndrome. No, it does not relate to the red army. Red packet sydrome has 2 extremes. One, having too much red packets and the other, not having enough. It can be damaging both ways..

Think about it.. too much red packets, you'll go nuts.. you'll end up not sure of what you would want to use it on and then it somehow mysteriously dissapear on something that you didn't know you bought or spend on. (aka Money Crazy)

Too little, well you know.. depression.. also makes you go nuts.. especially in times of recession.

Conclusion? Just give me th damn packets! :D I'll sort it out for you

Oh.. Despite the abundance of time I have, yet my blog is not going anywhere. Much has happened, thoughts, feelings, events.. but most of the time they just dwell somewhere in my thick head..

Left wonderful Tokyo, and now back in Osaka. It just seems to quick. I loved Tokyo.. there is always something happening anytime, anywhere. But reality sinks in, have to go where life takes me. Speaking of life, nothing beasts the frustration and pressures of not being able to achive and do what I want. Yes, I admit I'm stagnant.. but its not as if I'm not trying. Drive was good.. altho someone happily snored away (bweks!~)

Destination was Nagano. Home of Japan's winter olympics. Good thing I asked for snow tires, they work!~.. Left Chiba in the afternoon, which was a bit too late.. plus had to learn the navi system which was in Japanese. But useful tho, it even gives you an alternative route if you got lost or missed a junction. But what amazes me most is that it even tells you how much you need to pay at the next toll! Sugoyy...

Went to an Izakaya which mimics the pre/post world war Japan era.. like in the 40's or maybe even 50's. They even had those ancient black and white tv box thingys (monochrome tv's). Food was good too but didnt have much. Save on accomodation by sleeping in the car and left early the next day for Yudanaka and Shiga Heights. Why? To see monkeys.. :P see pics and ull know!~

They were very amusing, but i felt limited by my lens. No zoom lens you see.. So had to take close ups where the monkeys (babies) would be curious and grab my lens hood. Damn funny.. In a way some things they do are very humane. Like knowing how to relax in an onsen. Would come back again definately!~ more pics to come..

6 months later..

6 months later, still haven't lost the touch of home cooked meals :P being away from home and limited ingredients... Dr Mao says:

Delicious, low-calorie, and brimming with antioxidants, tea is quickly becoming the most commonly consumed beverage worldwide, after water. Even in the U.S., its popularity is rapidly growing. And why not? With the health benefits you stand to gain, you, too, will want to drink up.

Soak Up the Health Benefits
It is no wonder that tea is the beverage most commonly enjoyed by centenarians around the world. Tea is full of powerful antioxidants that improve concentration, gently boost energy, and make people happier. The free radical-inhibiting property of tea is more potent than that of vitamin E, and tea is a proven preventive and treatment for atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries). The polyphenols in tea, especially the catechins, are powerful antioxidants that help ward off diabetes and cancer.

To get the most health from your tea, brew it fresh from tea bags or loose leaves and herbs, as instant and bottled teas contain less active compounds. Let the tea steep for three to five minutes to extract the most beneficial compounds. Drink to your health!

Cut the Morning Coffee
For many people, the first thing they reach for in the morning is coffee. Although it may initially give you a jolt, coffee actually depletes your vital essence, "borrowing" energy that you didn't have in the first place.

Caffeine acts as a central nervous system stimulant. It causes you to experience stress, anxiety, a racing mind, and even insomnia, working against your attempts to relax the body and calm the mind. A healthier alternative to coffee is herbal tea. On average, a cup of black tea contains about one third of the caffeine you would get from the same cup of coffee. Green tea contains about one sixth of that amount.

Of course, caffeine content will vary depending on the particular tea and the brewing time. One way to naturally decaffeinate your tea is to steep for 45 seconds, pour out the liquid but keep the tea leaves, then add fresh boiling water and let it steep for 3-5 minutes or longer to allow the beneficial polyphenols to be extracted from the tea.

Slim Down with Tea
As a weight loss tool, tea is a wonderfully cleansing way to flush the system, replace fluids - and pump the body full of powerful antioxidants at the same time. Aside from the health benefits, tea is a zero-calorie beverage, making it your best choice for weight loss. Pass on the diet soda, loaded with sugar and bone-weakening bubbles, and go for tea.

It is best to drink tea unsweetened and without milk, which can minimize some of the health benefits. To sweeten the tea without the extra calories, forgo the sugar and try instead honey, stevia products, or a stick of cinnamon.

The Healthy Varieties of Herbal Teas
Aromatic and chock full of amazing health benefits, herbal teas are made from various leaves, roots, bark, or flowers. Here are just a few:

Ginger: Soothes the digestive system and keeps your energy fired up

Chamomile: Settles the stomach and is calming and soothing for the nervous system

Peppermint: Increases healthy gastric secretions, relaxes the intestines, and settles the stomach

Dandelion: Detoxifies and supports healthy liver functions

Valerian: A natural herbal substitute for sleeping pills

You can combine these herbs in any combination according to your taste and health preferences. Among my patients, an incredibly popular herbal tea is Internal Cleanse Tea, which is specially combined to detoxify, calm nerves, clear the mind, balance emotions, and ease digestion. This tea formula is available online at askdrmao.com.

I hope you reap the powerful health benefits of tea! Its pretty hilarious and very very amusing. A Must read/buy for that "looking for something different" person. This basicaly is a book on words more commonly used by the norm "in the box" japanese. Slang and culture vocabs that you would most likely hear everyday. More snow but not as cold as when I met the weather back in Nikko and Yokohama. Hakone was interesting.. I say interesting not making it a pun nor sarcasm but it indeed was interesting. We got to Hakone after a long train ride. Higashi-Chiba - Chiba - Shinagawa - Odawara. Then a bus from Odawara to Futagochaya, about 50 mins. The actual long weekend plan was to go to Hakone then Atami then a night in Oshima. But due to weather, the trip was cut short.. and we only got to Hakone. All we did when we got to hakone was eat at Motorhankone, which we walked from the YH, and found joy in 7/11. I never had thought that 7/11 would be the happiest thing when we were left with nothing to do.. serious.. funny as hell though. We ended up with..

The Yoth Hostel was great. Clean and has an Onsen. And I had a fiancee for a day too.. Most intriguing part was this was a 2 story hostel, run by 1 man. When I say run, it means that he does absolutely everything, he cookes if you order breakfast, lunch of dinner. He cleans, he does the laundry, he tends to the reception and greets every guests. I wonder when (if any) is his own time apart form sleep.. or even have time to visit his throne.. :/

The second day was better, not so gloomy and snowy as when we arrived. Weather was beautiful despite having snow everywhere. Had great shots of Mt Fuji and Lake Aishi. Soft powdery snow as well, perfect for snowboarding. Funniest thing was we were trying to hitch-hike but no one stopped, and when a taxi passed by, the thumbs dissapear. LoL. Walked all the way to next "town" which was about 15 mins walk from motorhakone. Wanted to go to Atami from there but weather did not permit us. No buses to Atami due to snow. oh well. Then we decided we had enough and head back to Chiba. Interesting weekend huh? Was indeed, was indeed.

Kung Pow Chicken!~

Happy Chinese New Year!!~

Gong Xi Fa Cai,
Ang Pow Na Lai!

To all we "ratarians", lets rise and prosper! Was just reminiscing on old times, back in the days when we were younger.. particularly when I was in primary school. Countless fond memories.. and things we go through. Although it was short lived, there were some of my best memories there. yes I admit I was an ass back then.. At such a young age, I was already exposed t this thing called "image". Didn't think I did a good job back then, but I just hope I have changed for the better. Its been 12 years, and when I look back. I can sill remember vividly the events that occured, people I met, and how they sound like then, facial expressions, habits, characters.. but bad at names. I remember the corridors, the teachers, class rooms with that metal bar up top supporting the ceiling, how the best room was the computer room cuz it had aircond, and how i spoilt a few computers because I was doing things I was not supposed to do. The KH room at the back.. also our music room.. and the green melodian, some had blue.. the ping pong area at the back, smith's corner. Taman alan & manusia which was like a small garden full of weeds.. the prominent carpark in front.. and most of all, the "canteen" where the makcik and pakcik sells their food on the ping pong table.. and because I was one of the earliest to be in school and one of the latest to go home, got free left overs sometimes.. and how i use to ride the Bas Sekolah to Laura's place.. if I didnt wanna go home.

Ahh.. those times.. I hoe most of you sri mawarians remember because believe it or not, those memories are what shaped me today, well partly. But does add some sort of value in my upbringing. Now with the past I shall look vividly into the future..

Excuse the darn pics.. I look weird.. Can't even stand properly!~

Wounded Angel~

Nothing is ever what it seems. We see it, we hear it, we smell it, we taste it and we feel it. But sometimes we can't explain it. Why is this so? Its because we humans love to complicate things. Especially when trying to keep things simple. We end up over doing it and making it obvious. Sometimes its good to confront, at times bottle it up. We strive for the better, despite all the negative criticism and obstacles that comes our way. The feelings of achieving it later, can never be bought but only savouring the moment. Sometimes you wish you knew more but most times, we tend to feel we shouldn't know more than we already know, rather what people think we know. Advantage maybe, but would you prefer not knowing than to suffer? Id rather suffer, quietly. Observe..

we are all angels, you and I,
mean to some, but nice to another,
we lend our wings to those that cannot fly,
even if we are hypocrites,
judging before we know,
we fly when we want to,
bringing those we want, leaving others behind,
we choose who to love, who to hate,
we protect what is dear to us, and abuse everything else,
but most of all,
we angels battle,
we fight daily for what we believe in, gaining battle scars,
and wounding others..

This is what it means to be an angel, because we know we are not perfect. Just trying to make the best of the moment..

But never ever let the demons haunt you, for you will only be a fallen, wounded angel.

Rise my angel, for we shall soar the heavens together.. gracefully~

Sumimasen...

Finally, an update. Back in Japan. Tokyo this time round. AS predicted, a very lively but busy place. Winter is cold, but warm at home. Darn wind. And its rather expensive..

First weekend was spent in Nikko. Visited the Toshogu Shrine, then Kegon Falls, Cheuzen-ji lake and finally the Yamoto Onsen where we failed to find monkeys in the onsens. But we did see monkeys. Very amusing. The snow and ice, beautiful combination. Still wished I have a decent camera mated with a good lens to play around with..

Not sure what lies ahead, but its job hunting priority now.. albeit the slight harsh coldness that provokes the aura of "unwelcome-ness"..

There is more to it than meets the eye...

Life in a DiGitaL age!~

Time in KL has passed by too quickly. It just felt surreal. I WAS in Italy.. wished I had more!. Always have seconds.. :D Anyways coming back here feels good, although hot, humid and busy.. We moved up last time I was here from the 7th to the 31st. Can see more of the city now. Makes me miss my garden tho.. lying and rolling in the grass, drinking what ever I fancy, cooking or BBQ'ing. Ahh NZ life. But thigns have changed, I feel the urge to get out and do something about my life. I know, I should start working soon, once I get everything sorted. My aim: UK!.. for a lot of reasons.

Meanwhile, I have every right to shop now, to regain what is lost, and start anew. New clothes, new image perhaps, new accessories (if any), shoes bags, gadgets etc etc.. even with new views in life. But above all that, I am the same old. Doing things to make me better. Although sale is on now, yes Milan, but I did not really find anything I wanted. When I did, no sizes.. what luck. All the luxurious brands you can think of.. And I'm leaving Milan empty handed, apart from bitter sweet memories. Plus lousy trip planning, wrong day in the wrong place. Recall my days in Florence.. beautiful but could have done more. There are, however, beautiful parts of the city itself. The "Duomo", and a church not far from the Piazza that houses the famous last supper painting. I was very intrigued by Milan's captivating beauty. The buildings, the history, the people, and the fashion... Still wished I got something tho..

fear not, I have another 4-ish days in Italy. Its that romantic place everyone has been talking about, it was just near perfect as I gaze down the Arno river, looking through the scenes on Ponte Vecchio, with sweet guitar music on the background.. Italian style.. would have been perfect if I had my someone to savor the moment with.. Thus as the sun set, into streets lighted up with Christmas lights.. no shops open apart from cafes` and gelaterias.. that was my first day of the new dawn.

Ah.. As for me its ongoing. Adapting to change, evolving through experiences. But what I aim for will mostly be the same, getting there is another question. So far what I have established:

1) Get a Job
2) Expand social circle
3) Have more passion in what I do
4) Be more focused, mature and directed in life
5) Only start something that I know I will follow through
6) Have more patience
7) Listen more, and never to act by judgment of emotions
8) "Delete" bad traits, build on better and good traits
9) Be that better person

Despite all these new year resolutions, one thing that will never change, is me. I am who I am. Same old character, but improved and better. I believe everything in life happens for a reason. So will I not only celebrate it, but cherish every moment of it. Do what I have never done before, see things I have never seen, explore and taste this beauty we have around us, thats life. Thats how we justify ourselves and the things we do. We do it because we want to, because we feel like it, not because we can or not or because everyone is doing it. Through the years, thats what I have been thought, and I have someone dear to me to thank for, all though it took me a while to realise it and never seem to show. You are that zest and spice in my life. Thats where I want to be..

More to come :D

Goodbye 07..

Happy New Year!
May 2008 grant you what you are seeking for
and bring your dreams into reality!

-= Insert Smile Here =-

Ciao,
Ronald Adrian

This year in History...

Was reading Min's blog and realised how fast this year has gone. Just as she expressed, it is surreal. Well maybe hers is more.. She went through more. As I think back this year, it is probably the pivotal point in my life, where things could change drastically for the coming year. Let's see:

January
All I can remember is that I smell of meat most days.. working my ass to save as much money as I could. Min had her summer school, and was nearly completing her degree by then.

February
Min's birthday. Uni was restarting again for me, My final year.

March
Uni most days, spending time with Min when I could. Especially when she was daring enough to remove all her 4 wisdom tooth in one go. RESPECT!.. But she couldn't remember a thing after the surgery. I remember this day I got her mang as well.. I was late. When she got around, she was sooo conscious of her looks.. haha I find it funny. Not because of her swollen cheeks but her constantly looking in the mirror.

April
South Island road trip with my min and her mom's friends and grandma. It was one hell of a trip! Drove like mad, good experience and also exciting. The pajero broke down, in the middle of no where, and I remember vividly that Min wrote me a letter, writing to me while I was gone. Silly girl.. but it was so adorable. It was one of those, "just in case something happen" kind of letter. As long as you let me be with you, there is no need for such letters :)

This was also when my darling graduated. Im so proud of her. Im proud and lucky to have this smart, bright and gorgeous babe in my life. I never thanked her enough...

May
Uni for me and she started profs. How I miss her when she was away.. Loved sending her to it and waiting for her to finish so can pick her up.

June
My annual Gawai festival. For those who do not know, I'm an Iban. An endangered indigenous species left in the island of Borneo. I feel lucky to be one and properly educated. Although I take things for granted most of the time. Was seeing less of min as had exams, plus she was busy with profs and things. Had 3 exams in a row. Bweks..

July
Bersatu games again, this would be my last. We retained the cup. Got a few medals. Min got tanned. My my, she look mighty fine. Very sexy and irresistible. The colour was great. I never got to enjoy most of it. Plus I was joking when I said it smell like coconut, didn't realised that she took it seriously. The series of event occurred this month, will be laid to rest and be a moment in time where I was tested, emotionally and mentally. It was a moment of trials and tribulations. I was there for her, no matter what happened. And will always do my best to be there for her, never ceasing. I may have not handled things well, but it was my testament of love and patience I have for my Min, showing that no matter what, nothing was going to stop us.. It is how much she means to me.

August
I was left behind. As min ventured out for her new job. I was actually happy that she left. No, I'm not a cruel boyfriend but I was happy for min as she could live a life by herself and not be stagnant. the change was good. I could see that she was much happier, despite the drastic change in environment and secs that drive her nuts. Plus I would be joining her in a week after she left to take more of her luggage. I was there for a month, studying while I could, and taking care of min while she was away. Helped her settled in, got her things to make life better and felt more at home. Most of all, spent as much time with her as I could as I know time is what we had left.

September
Half of my September was spent with min, and helping her move again to Fukuoka. Settling down there before I had to go in a week. Was originally staying for 3 weeks but as I have missed my connecting flight, I had to re-book and decided to stay a week longer to help min settle in more. We had a huge fight the day I was supposed to leave. Was a bad call I made. I was waiting for her to come back to the station where I have missed her somehow, maybe I was walking around. But at the same time she got home, she didn't had the keys as they were with me. I waited from about 6:45 till about 9pm while she already got home around 7pm. Silly right? When I thought it was nice to wait for her at the station. I cannot imagine the pain and hardship I put her through as she didn't have a phone at the time. She managed to call me without knowing anyone, and seeking help from neighbours. I never had gotten her so mad like this before. She was so angry, as thought she could have killed me. And that was he first time I felt as though I wasn't welcomed anymore, I was told to "fuck off". Words so cold, send shivers down my spine. I felt so bad, that I really wanted to leave. Leave her so that I won't cause her pain anymore. We made up, I still feel bad. I tried to make up for it. I hope I did. Time flies when you want it most. Soon I had to leave Japan.. leave her. I thought maybe this break apart would be a good breathing space for her. We still see each other at home, where I will wait for her on the net.. every night. Not missing a single one, except when she was away.

October
October came and went, had exams at the end. My birthday, where my brother organised something!~ That was sweet :) As much as I didn't want to celebrate it, it helped me feel better as I was missing my min very much. I even bought myself a small cupcake with 3 candles so I can blow it in front of the web cam so Min could see.. wished she was here.

November
exams exams exams.. I hate it when I get my first exam on the second day and the last exam on the last day. And the exams were done in 2 weeks.. I did my best :)

December
The time of the year again. Min got transferred to Tokyo. I finally graduated, although I didn't feel as though it was anything special. I honestly felt I could have done better, was better and never pushed myself to the limits like I used to. Will make the best out of it. I was even offered to do masters or phd in information systems. Can I handle it? I think it may have to wait.. I have kept min a promise and I don't want her to wait anymore, i will find a good job. work my way up, and eventually have that house we been wanting and start that cafe of ours. Will work hard to make our dreams come true, I promise, if you are willing to stand by me, by my side as we start our journey together in life. A promise I vow to keep.

Time flies when we least expect it. Thats how I spent my year, thanking for every moment that was given to me, good or bad. Made me who I am today. I will change for the better. abolish all these negativeness from me and vow myself to be that positive person I see myself is. I learn a lot through the year and previous years. Experiences has only shaped my character. I have only learned of how imperfect I am..

My next post will be of my new years resolutions and views I see in life, views I have established. Got the chance to see the Italian highways and change in scenery. The country views are gorgeous, only problem was winter. Cold and was foggy. We stopped by this small town, Orvieto. I have to go back there again if I ever get the chance to. Its a town somewhere on the mountains, the beautiful Italy that I have imagined, well so far. It was very high up but serene. looks very ancient and the houses are like those found within castle walls type. As thought it was a kingdom by itself. Plus it is near a lake too.. One could only imagine how beautiful it is. Google it :)

Then we were off to Florence. Was bit tired although we got here at about 6, sun just set. It was way much cleaner than Rome. Less graffiti, if none. The streets here are laid out better and the setting is just heart-warming. Colder but more welcoming. This is just the first night. 2 more of Florence's charm... wonder what surprises she will bring me.. ahhh

mood: tired, wrong biological clock hours.. and things in mind.

Link: Florence

On the road again!~

Went to Castel Romano Yesterday. Its like dress mart but with that Italian brands everyone is looking for. Cheaper than what you would get regularly but I still find it difficult to find something I like, at least something I think that is not too expensive and worth buying. One of it was this pair of boots, by Dolce & Gabanna.. DAMN gorgeous.. but I wasn't ready to spend 250 euros on it, even if that was half price.. Still looking for that perfect Italian gift. Still got plenty to see..

Will be heading to Florence today. Saying that, I just ended up with a sore and tired neck. Why? Well, all the things in Rome I see are huge and you have to look up most of the time. Its a neck breaker. That got me thinking on necks. But I was most tested today, heading into the Vatican Museum. Its unlike any museums anywhere else in the world, unless its one of those archaeological places that turned into museums. I like museums, as long as they are not the commercialised type. The Vatican museum is exceptionally different, not because I'm religious or anything, but it was built along centuries.. It was a papal palace, and for those who does not already know, it houses the famous Sistine Chapel. The work of arts by Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Bernini.. so many names.. so beautiful.. so gorgeous.. so little time.. so neck consuming..

We had to queue from 8:30 before the entrance opens at 10.. the later you go the longer the queue. When I saw long, its probably 3km. It had everything from the Egyptian era (since 4000BC) too the Greek empire and the Roman empire. You have sculptures of Achilles, Hercules, Medusa, Angels and what not, gods and goddesses, Julius Cesar, Mark Anthony, Ancient kings, Queens, Mistresses. Bronze sculptures, stone sculptures, fountains.. you name it. It like traveling back in time and I love world history.. If I had come here earlier, I would have been doing archeology and I get to travel around the world. Imagine that, now I'm just digging computers.. sigh..

The visit took the whole day I should say. And its a must if you ever come to Rome. There is still more places to see of ancient Rome that we have not been to and were leaving coming Sunday to Florence, then Venice, then Milan, then Pisa, then Back to Rome, before going down south to Lanciano, or Naples and Pompeii if we could.

I hope the rest of Italy is much cleaner and graffiti-less.

mood: mixed.. really mixed.

Bonjorno!~

Ah.. finally an update! First things first, Merry Christmas! (yeah I know, belated). Its been a few days and I can tell you, a lot of things happened. Unexpected things.

A few days ago, my family & I arrived in Italy, 22nd Dec. We got all our baggage except one which was left in Singapore, my dad's tripod. Anyway, they said they will get it in by Christmas. Then we got off to pick up our rental car, small for a family of 7 with about 15 pieces of luggage (incl hand carry of course). So me n mom had to take a taxi while the rest caught up with up later at St. Peter's square. My god, the place is humongous. The Italian chicks are hot, naturally the first thing id notice :P Anyways, this was where things got from bad to worse. Mom tried calling the lady that owns the apartment we rented. But we couldn't get to her. We went to the apartment at first, but mom decided that we should just meet up with the rest since we cant get hold of her. THEN we met up at the square and dad had to find car park while the rest of us waited at the square. While they were looking for park, the lady rung. So we had to go back to the apartment to get the keys. We tried calling Dad but never seem to pick up his phone! argh.. (nvm). They parked on a street not far from the Vatican in broad daylight with many people walking by everywhere. Meanwhile, since me and mom couldn't get hold of them, we decided to go back to the square and meet up to go back to the apartment. Before that we had lunch. all this happened in less than 2 hrs when we got into the center of Rome, after dad parked the car.

THEN worst fears realised, our car got broken into. You guessed it, everything I hold dear, sentiments or material stuff, is all gone. Our luggage, hand carry etc even my laptop is gone. I was devastated. Not because I'm materialistic, don't get me wrong, but more of because everything that reminds me of my darling is gone. Clothes she got me, her tin whistle, and most of all, the memories I have with her, all of it gone. Pictures, voice clips, msn chats, notes she secretly leave in my documents, waiting for me to find them, videos.. can u understand now how I felt. All I had left was what I was wearing. travel documents, money and passport.

But despite that, we are lucky we were not harmed. Worse things could have happened. But thank god. I came to realise how much I actually love my family, despite at times I seem as though I don't, contradict this family views of mine. I know we all got much closer than we already are, sticking together especially at times like these. I don't blame them for what they are, but they are my family. And others I consider family too. So if you guys read this, I love yous (yous - kiwi for all of you). But hey I got dibs on the side middle seat!! I hate seating at the back row or the middle of bench seats.

Apart from that, Italy is beautiful. All the ancient buildings and people, the Italian food and cafe's, beautiful country. Its just the gypsies that makes this place bad and those dogs that shit everywhere (literally), and not to mention all those graffiti everywhere. not those nice ones. They are more like ghetto type.

Since we arrived we been to so many places, mostly religious tho. Mom's pilgrimage, so I call it. Went to the St Peter's Basilica, the Vatican, a small old but re-modernised with that classic type of church for Christmas, got lost around small streets in Rome (best way to sight see!!) as we usually accidentally find something. We saw the Colosseum but not been in it yet, drove pass the Pantheon, St John of Lateran Basilica, St Mary Major Basilica, St Paul's Basilica, drove pass the Casta Santa Angelo (known as the wedding cake), The spanish steps, the holy steps, a small chapel perfect for a wedding (like a mini basilica), St Clement's basilica which was built on a 4th century church.. and the list is endless.. still got more things to see..

On the other hand, a lot of things are running through my head now. Not to mention stand yet, but I learned to stand. Then a step at a time, I thought myself to walk. I walked faster, eventually thought myself to run. Ah such freedom it gives me. But as my mind grew, I now come back to that point in life, where I just thought myself to stand again. Now on my own, I have to learn to walk for that life I wanted..

Deep eh? Just a glimpse of what complicated mind I have at times. There is more but I shall not get into that. A lot has happened since my liberation.. Now as I taste the sweetness of freedom, reality sinks back in. Ive graduated, nothing that great.. just a small achievement where I can pat myself on me back. Welcome to that "next" stage in life.. (somehow that "previously.. on heroes" comes to mind).. this is where I will shine.. living the dream I want, an ideal, not just for me, but and ideal dream that involves people around me, people dear to me..

But my days are numbered.. I'll be off again, leaving life back at home and traveling. First Italy.. then Japan for that sweet reunion.. (awww..) Many days has gone, many months passed. I tell you this one story ah. I was making milo for myself, happily in my big A&W mug. Boiled water as usual. Instead of sugar I put salt, without realising it. Ok nvm, took the cup, nice and hot/warm with my jacobs crackers (I know like those apek/ahmah eat one) and took a huge gulp of milo. Next minute, eye big big, hot/warm summore, damn salty! yuckk.. I cant believe I did this again. What a waste! Sure got a few hair kalap (disintegrated) from my head liaw.. ish

Moral of story: Make milo the best way, with honey or condensed milk :P Like they always make for those sports events back in M'sia. Except maybe for being icky and sweaty from miles of walking and the heat. :P

Its finally over, still wasn't ready to leave. How I wished time stood still, and I wake up everyday to the scenes I see for the past month. Some of the best times in life, waking up in the morning and being happy. Parting was never easy.

We did a lot of things. We traveled, sit on long train journeys, slept between stations, Sat on the shin, wondering if we were actually going over 300km/h walked everywhere, saw temples and shrines, wasted money on shopping, checked out chicks, tandem cycled like japs, walked in the rain, blown by the wind, ate at food stalls by the river, bought ramen coupons form vending machines, imitate Japanese gestures.. and tried to talk jap :P, I had to carry her stuff twice cuz she got posted to Fukuoka. Moved twice :P carried a couch she bought 2nd hand on the subway, came home sweaty and icky.. but that was just half the fun.

We also argued, we faught, we forgave, we cried but then we laughed about it after, and still keep the fond memories. I still yearn to not leave, hoping that my return was a dream. But I guess I have to face reality, at least for now. My last hurdle for uni... then freedom

This past month was great! I feel like as though we have our own little home, but me being the ahmah :P cooking and cleaning up, laundry, cutting lunch/dinner and shopping... It was fun.. I can imagine our little home.

was it worth it, you ask? I would say yes, without a doubt! :) Well, keep waiting babe, Im coming back for more...

dAy zErO - FiNnALLy hErE

Finally and update!! Sorry Pei, made u walk a lot!! hahah Stop complaining. :P Seong, still got stock ah??

To begin with, my luggage was overweight :S I had 2 check in.. one carry on.. a laptop bag.. and "Friday".. If only "Friday" could help carry some. :/

Arrive Sunday morning. Whoa damn hot and I was last to go through customs.. Stupid passport!! @##@$%$&*$%@@#$!~ whats with Malaysian passports? Seriously?? But its all good, Im changing mine soon muahhhaha...

When I finally got out, had to go through baggage check.. the officers were wondering why I have women clothings :s Long story but they were nice.. Then there was the train.. took me 20 mins t figure out how to buy a ticket as it was automated. You get it from a machine that is all in Jap. Got on train..to Tennoji Station, then from that take another train on the Kanjo Loop line to go to Kyobashi. From Kyobashi, to Min's stop, Konoieke-shinden station. Not bad, had to lug about 50kgs of luggage around in the heat (50kg in total with cabin, laptop 11kg's backpack 15kgs, KL never checks). Oh reached there.. i asked a girl for directions.. she answered me back in English.. haha cuz she studied in LA before. Darn.. pai seh.. she probably thought my jap is crap.

oK here is where the story starts, I got hui mins written address.. then from the pictures sent to her by email of her apartment.. I manage to get it on google earth.. It was exactly that and Hui min said it was correct.. but NO... she was in another apartment.. bot the one I found on google earth. I kncked the door to #205, waited no asnwer.. then after about 20 mins this groggy just-woke-up jap dude answered.. I was like f#rk :S Sure enough I got the wrong place..

The thing is.. i was supposed to arrive Monday. But i rescheduled my flights a day earlier.. to surprise her.. Lucky enough, the Jap dude was nice enough to show me to another apartment #107. This is where i met Paul Johnson. Form OZ and working at the same company as Min. Hah.. He knew where I was supposed to go.. sort of. Cuz he knew were other "gaijins" that working with the company stayed. He took me there as he had a car ('07 Forester STI summore!).. it was totally in the opposite direction of the google earth map I did. Ringed the bell, no one answered. Ringed a few times.. Mins answered and she just woke up.. It took her a few minutes to click to realise it was me.. so unload luggage. And then first thing first... kena nagged for ngak-ing her and coming a day earlier.. and also wasting her effort of drawing maps and instructions of how to get here when I supposedly arrive the day after.. sorry babe Afterall, she was happy to see me. So was I.

After I settled in, Min and I went to Tenjinbashisuji-shopping street. It literally is a long shopping street like Petaling st, but better.. and longer. Spans about 3kms A lot of intersting things. Had lunch there..

The next day, Min had work, so I went to Den Den Town, where they sell all electrical and electronic appliances. The whole area is like that, not just a building. There are stores and stroes litreally selling hardwares, gadgets, appliacnes etc.. even has a few Anime shops.. i mean 5 story high shops selling just anime stuff.. and a Gundam building. 5 stories of pure gundam goodness.. Man.. Love it.. Met Min for lunch, went to this Sushi place near her work. yummm.. sushi the way Japs make it.. hahah Then I went to Umeda for a while. chicks everywhere.. :D We had beef fried with eggs for dinner. Meat here is damn ex man! For like a few pieces of beef is already $15 bucks. Seafood is cheap. Maybe thats why people eat out.. save time and money. Seriously, poeple overwork here, esp on salary summore, no OT bonuses. Mins work time for now is usually 9am till about 830pm. But uts expected to be normal when they finish at 11pm... too much!~

Tuesday, walked min to work as usual, then went back to Den Den town again to get some speakers.. a dvd player and some other small household stuff.. Electronics here are damn cheap... seriously.. esp Plasma TV's and LCD's. I saw a 50" Plasma for about 2000 nzd. man.. Came home after lugging a huge box of speakers. :P Cooked dinner.. Had chicken stew, yumm. Been walking too much.. damn tiring and the only time I can spend time with min is around 8pm to about 12am.. then bed time di. And i fell asleep a few times while watching dvd. Sorry min, I know im supposed to teman you and our times together is limited and precious.. but I was just really tired.

Wednesday, morning walk to office :D then went to Umeda to change some currencies.. where I got lost ahhaha silly me. Then went back to tenjinbashi-suji shopping area to get this cow floor mat that minsaw the other day that she really wanted. And I tapaued pearls.. Also went to den den town to get some gadgets and household items. I should go to more places than just these few lolz Was expecting min and her Scottish colleague for dinner, so cooked more stew and brown noodles. yummm.. but they came home around 9ish.. so Laura decided to have dinner at her own place. 2 doors away nia :P Spend the rest of the evening with min, and she was telling me jokes sent by Mich. I fell asleep, halfway through the last joke about the this guys that called up the operator asking a lot of silly IT questions.. again, min wasn't happy, Sorry darling, I really was tired.

Thursday, walked min to work :D then went to find the upper-class 100Y store. Couldn't find it. So came home to do some uni work and clean up the place, rest and do some laundry. Didn't want to go out cuz I didn't want to be too tired again, so I can spend proper nights with min without end up argue-in cuz i fell asleep.. :) Lets hope it works...Plus there was a thunder storm today so didn't want to walk around in the rain. :P

haha anyways.. photos coming up soon. Have gone out at night for night pictures. Will get some soon :P

Thinking of where to go next and in the weekend?? hmmm

My Home for the next 3 weeks

dAy SiX

Doing report, taking a break and came upon these jokes (1:50am)

Woman asks Man "What would you do if I die?"

Woman: Would you get married again?
Man: Definitely not!
Woman: Why not -- don't you like being married?
Man: Of course I do.
Woman: Then why wouldn't you remarry?
Man: Okay, I'd get married again.
Woman: You would? *With a hurtful look on her face*
Man: *audible groan*
Woman: Would you sleep with her in our bed?
Man: Where else would we sleep?
Woman: Would you put away my pictures, and replace them with pictures of her?
Man: That would seem like the proper thing to do.
Woman: And would you let her use my golf clubs?
Man: She can't use them -- she's left-handed.
Woman: *silence*
Man: Sh*t.

Two for the Accountants:

Q: Why do accountants make good lovers? YaY, I'm going!~ There are still a few things I need to do before I go, little errands such as changing some currency at least and packing etc. Speaking of packing.. I'm not progressive. :/ How ah? Kau dim later.

I know its pathetic but I'm printing some maps :P Like here is one I found on Google earth. Managed to find Min's new apartment. Went to watch Die Hard 4.0, as expected not as good as I thought it would be. Went with dad and lil bro. Storyline is interesting but actions seems fake, unbelievable. I still prefer Die hard 3. But hey we live in a modern day era, 'firecell' = armageddon aka cyber warfare. Movie was let say 5/10, the JD coke made it better. lolz.

Speaking of which, the highlight of the movie, "Mai" asian ass kicking, kung-fu fighting, sexy and gorgeous, well for now :). Man I reckon she is hot. No? But man more lunches and dinner.. forever eating. "Boi come here eat, boi go this aunties house eat lunch, Boi you must come dinner later 7pm" etc, all under the ruling of one lady that controls my life at times :S Eat too much.. then there is this good old pastime, top gear. Watching old seasons, reminds me of times I watch it over with darling's dad and all asleep. Just hope I didn't snore. Wanted to go volley but family come first at times. I only see them a few days a year. Sad eh?.. Love my family, they can be annoying at times but they are wacky, everyone has a different path of life but connected together.

Tried repacking, hmm getting worried as it seems as tho the luggage is gonna burst. I need to try rearranging more stuff later. This min ah... jokes.

day four - Monday

Uni as usual. Been skipping classes to spent as much time as I could with my min. Never know when the last would be. :) It was worth it, sticking by you, through thick and thin, good and bad/hard times. Makes me appreciate you even more. Thinking of all the small errands I need to do before I go and people to meet. Hanged out at the mall with the group (Tung, Roger, Jin, Ellen+Justin, TW+Liz and Mabel) at coffee club. Buy 1 free 1 coupon. I din have anything.. just finished Justin's cheese cake which he thought was sweet. :/

Then when i JUST got home.. "Boi dinner again got this Korean place city opp ANZ bank".. I was like, AGAIN?? zomg man. SO i went, because my family was running late as they had to go west melton etc. Mom did mention "137 Hereford St". Somehow its sounded familiar. Not until I went to find it that its that Korean restaurant thats never open normally (they have weird opening hours you see, just lunch and dinner), which was where Min's IPLS was. ZOMG nostalgic. Just a few weeks ago I have been picking Min up from there or waited there for her to finish.

That korean place was weird. They don''t seem to have sang-yii wan. Like no business like that. It was only us, plus dad's sacred hearts high school friends and a chinese family. Food was okay.. Came back home so that dad can catch up with the ex-classmates, which means more wine. Been drinking a lot of wine now, which is good. Then a thought occured to me, will I be like that one day, meeting old classmates? then looking back at what we did yesteryears or now even.. Amazing as it seems but scary at the same thought as the future is in some respects, still uncertain. We can never 100% predict tomorrow. Even if we plan, but does the plans we make, fulfilled accordingly? hmm.. Just a thought. AT least for me, I'm sticking to my plans for now, short term and long term (Yeah, you know it baby!) Future - Here I come!

veni, vidi, vici

11:53pm - YOU CALLED!! Just need to add some touches here and there and it should be good as gold. I finally have my own dot com now. www.ronaldadrian.com which basically links back to my blog.

Had lunch with family with some uncles and aunty's at one of the uncle's place. Mom made umai, yumm.. miss her cooking. yess yess fat and happy! Bweks!~ I had this sudden feeling that I needed to work out. Maybe I should start one soon. Nothing extensive, just simple workout that I picked up from my younger athletic days. I should keep myself fit, you never know when you need that extra energy :P

There's so many things I can do now and yeah, I don't know where to begin. Its good in a way that I have time to myself, but at times I kinda miss doing errands. Even if its running around driving, its the presence that matters. Although occupied with things to do, its still spending time. Taking things for granted? Perhaps. I wish I could take back the time where I never gave you all the attention you wanted and needed. Oh well, we shall look forward :)

Stay comfy in your new life babe!

MuaksSs

Feeling: Nostalgic
Mood: Sleepy
Craving: Bak Kut Teh
Coutdown: 9 days

TRAMP DINNER (Blogged @ 10:15pm)

Went to the tramp restaurant for dinner with my whole family and Ah Boo as sis came up for the week end. what can i say.. unique experience BUT not worth the money. Food is average and the ride was horrible.. just turn the tramp route 4 times.. service was slow.. and I wanted lamb shank but they ran out because our tables were the last to be served. So i had fish of the day, some flat fish. I asked the chinese waitress.. she don't know. Looks like Sole fish. If I had lamb shank it could have been better. But highlight of the night, Tramp hitting a parked car! lol what an experience.. because the tramp suddenly stop.. like crash stop. Wasn't the Tramp's fault but the car was illegally parked. Was in front of Little India. Whats ironic about it is that the car's plate is "hooked", I guess it just got hooked by the Tramp. Kena towed, fined and has to pay for damage on the Tramp. haha Oh well.. that made my day!

Noticed three new places I should go, a Spanish restaurant "Maitea Maison", a cafe called "The Benjamin" and a pub called "Saints and Sinners" (Not sure if it was called this but its the same pub I went with my Darling a while ago with Liezl to watch this live band playing , off the square and next to the "X" Backpackers). Interesting and they looked good from the outside. Worth a try and both the cafe and Spanish restaurant is located in the Cathedral Junction, that funny indoor place that the Tramp stops and goes through, near the square.

Tramp Restaurant rating: 3/10

Fish of the day

Venison

The Accident

dAy oNe

First day since you're gone. I feel this sudden emptiness, maybe because I'm so used to having you around. Wouldn't you be bored? Too much if me is not good perhaps? but too little is far worse. Sometimes I take you for granted. But I learn to appreciate you ever more. Amazing it is that you were just here in my arms the day before, now gone.

Sent you off yesterday, and been tracking your flight journey online. Was happy to see you in Singapore. Happy for you. Then you left to Osaka, got all your details and you arrived in Osaka, 8:24am (Japan time). But I have not heard for you since..
